We started our weekend with a spur of the moment trip to the coast. We grabbed some towels, jumped in the car, and drove three hours to Mustang Island.
Henry stuck his toes in the ocean for the first time,
an experience he didn't exactly relish.
Howie ran in the waves and ran away from the waves.
We built a sand castle.
Then we drove home, stopping for hamburgers and milkshakes on the way.
But this was just Friday. We still had lots of weekend left to enjoy. On Saturday morning we rode our bikes to the Fiesta Pooch Parade. (Dogs of all kinds parading down the street in costumes.)

| Henry fell asleep on the ride to the parade and napped through the whole thing. |
Our trip to the botanical gardens was cut short when Howie slipped on some rocks and got two HUGE cuts on his foot and leg. Luckily he didn't need stitches, but he gave me quite a scare. We enjoyed the rest of the afternoon watching Loony Toons and eating ice cream. Add in a trip to the bike shop and a nice dinner and you have a weekend worth remembering.
